Perfect place to grab a bite to eat after touring the Slugger Museum close by. The decor is so cute with alot of memorabilia. Our server, Cassie, was the most attentive ever. The food is plenty and delicious. We will visit again next time we are in the area.

This little cafe downtown is charming. The menu is limited to soups and sandwiches but they offer daily specials.
On New Years week it was super slow and hard to get food near Main Street but we saw Boomers was open.
We had burgers to go with fries and it was ready quickly. I sat by a fireplace as they gathered my items-- no mistakes! Everything looked perfect.
The decor is puppy dog themed, specifically beagles. Cute! Lots of antiques and regional artwork.
The space is way bigger inside than expected. Nice booths line the walls and there is a proper dining room as well.
The staff was so nice! They gave me a menu for next time and threw in some free peppermint York patties. So sweet!
The burgers were very, very good, large and meaty. I loved the crinkle fries, perfectly crisp outside and smooth and hot inside.
I highly recommend. Lunch served only here. -

Boomer's Cafe is just a block east of the Louisville Slugger Museum on Main St. I took the kids here after a visit to the museum.
I ordered the Boomer Cheeseburger, son went with the BLT, and daughter went with the grilled cheese. The Boomer was good, not great, and could have used a little more flavor. I'd say the same for the BLT. The fries would be graded the same. The grilled cheese, however, was not good. Strange how something so simple to make would come out so bad.
The service is quite good. Very nice staff. It left me wishing the meal was on par with that great service. Again, the food wasn't horrible, but just not anything special.
If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a place that's decent and not outrageously priced, it's worth a stop. But I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. -

I found this little hole in the wall while walking around downtown while on Jury Duty. What a unique experience! Boomers has been around for 20 years and I never knew about them until today.
Named after the family dog, a beagle named Boomer, the decor is dedicated to beagles! When you walk in, you feel like you are going back in time. An explosion of beagles with a touch of grandma.
Boomers has a simple menu. Sandwiches, chips, burger and fries. If you want something elaborate, go somewhere else. I ordered the chicken salad on wheat with potato chips on the side. Dressed with lettuce, tomato, and pickles on the side. Soft bread and the chicken salad was top notch.
I happened to be the first one in and met the owner and the staff. They were so friendly and genuine. I was really impressed to see that as the regular lunch crowd started coming in, they were called by name and their orders were memorized.
I ordered a homemade chocolate cookie to go and checked out. Guess what-cash only! I scraped enough together but I was told that I could bring it back if I needed to. No problem, she said. Personally, I'm happy to pay a couple of extra dollars to support local friendly people that are passionate about what they do everyday. Everyone should visit Boomers at least once! -

If you live in or come to Louisville for a visit, this place is a MUST try. The food was amazing in taste and presentation as well. It is very simple comfort food. The staff and owner will make you feeling like you are in their home having lunch with their family. This will be my new go to place for lunch when I am downtown. I listened as regulars came in they were greeted by their first name and asked how they as well as their family were doing. Once we were finished eating the owner told us to take our time and take as long as we wanted. If you live or come to downtown and miss this place for lunch then you are robbing yourself of great food with an awesome atmosphere.
